Privacy Policy

ShowerLuma (“ShowerLuma,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website showerluma.com (the “Site”), where we sell the LUMA filtered showerhead and related products. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site or make a purchase, how we use it, and the choices you have. Information you give us. When you subscribe to our mailing list, we collect your email address. When you submit a product review, we collect the name, rating, and review text you provide. When you contact us, we collect the contents of your message.

Order information. Purchases are processed by Shopify, our e-commerce provider. When you check out, Shopify collects your name, email address, shipping and billing address, and payment details. We do not see or store your full payment card number — payment processing is handled entirely by Shopify and its payment processors. We receive order details (such as your name, email, shipping address, and the items you bought) so that we can fulfill your order and provide support.

Information collected automatically. We use privacy-conscious first-party analytics to understand aggregate traffic (pages viewed, referrer, approximate region, device type). The Site also keeps an anonymous, short-lived count of how many visitors are currently viewing the product — this counter uses a random session identifier and does not identify you personally. We use browser storage (localStorage) to remember small preferences on your device, such as whether you have dismissed our email popup, your theme preference, and your cart session.

We use the information we collect to:

(a) process, fulfill, and ship your orders and send order-related communications; (b) send you the welcome email and discount code you requested when subscribing, and occasional marketing emails you can opt out of at any time; (c) send a one-time post-purchase offer email after you place an order; (d) display genuine customer reviews and recent-purchase notifications (shown only as a first name, region, and product — never your email or full name); (e) operate, secure, and improve the Site; and (f) comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only with service providers who help us run the store: Shopify (e-commerce platform and checkout), our email delivery provider (transactional and marketing email), our hosting and analytics providers, and shipping carriers who deliver your order. Each provider may only use your information to provide services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

The Site uses a small number of cookies and browser-storage entries that are necessary for it to function: Shopify checkout cookies, a session cookie if you sign in to an account, and localStorage entries for cart, popup, and theme preferences. Our analytics does not use cross-site advertising cookies. You can clear or block these through your browser settings, though parts of the Site (such as the cart) may stop working.

You will only receive marketing email from us if you subscribed. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out any time by emailing hello@showerluma.com. Transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates) are sent as part of fulfilling your purchase.

We keep order records as long as needed for accounting, warranty, and legal purposes. Mailing-list emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Presence data used for the live-viewer counter is transient and automatically expires within minutes. We use industry-standard safeguards — HTTPS everywhere, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers — but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Depending on where you live (for example, California under the CCPA/CPRA or the EEA/UK under the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@showerluma.com — we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision, and material changes will be posted on this page.
